OI-Tech is now partnered with our new sister company, Vitalize Interiors, a certified SWaM Micro Business. The SWaM Procurement Initiative was established to enhance business opportunities for small, women-and minority-owned businesses and to ensure a level playing field for all small businesses in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Under the Governor’s Executive Order 20 of 2014, purchases under $10,000 are set aside for micro businesses and Executive Branch agencies that have statutory authority for procurement are required to include these set-asides in their purchasing regulations, policies, and processes. That same order also makes provisions for the expansion of set-aside for competition among all certified small businesses to include purchases up to $100,000 for goods and nonprofessional services and up to $50,000 for professional services with at least one of the proposals/bids to be obtained from a micro business.
